At Your Helpers Home Services, we believe in lending a hand not just at home, but wherever help is needed. This month, we’re highlighting a remarkable organisation we support, Mission Abundance Foundation, an Australian-based charity making lasting, global change through empowerment and compassion.
Through Mission Abundance, Your Helpers sponsors Peter, a young boy living in Uganda. Our support helps provide him with essentials many of us take for granted—access to a dentist, education, clean water, safe housing, and security. Most importantly, it ensures he has the chance to live a safe and fulfilling life.
Twice a year, we receive a handwritten letter from Peter, where he shares stories about his daily life and the impact of this support. These letters are a powerful reminder of how small acts of kindness here in Australia can transform lives across the world. For us, Peter is not just a name on paper—he represents the real, tangible difference that compassion can make.
Founded from a single act of kindness in 2016, Mission Abundance officially became a registered not-for-profit in 2024. Their mission is clear: to alleviate poverty and foster sustainable development across communities worldwide. From supporting education, healthcare, sanitation, and nutrition, to building long-term independence, they work hand in hand with local partners to create lasting change.
Through partnerships with organisations such as Kyampisi Childcare Ministries in rural Uganda (since 2018) and Bridge Christian Ministries in Kampala’s Nateete slums (since 2022), the Foundation continues to deliver on its vision of Australian-based global impact.
At Your Helpers, our values go beyond the homes we care for here in Queensland. Mission Abundance’s heart-centred approach—focusing on empowering independence—aligns perfectly with our own commitment to dignity, inclusion, and meaningful support.
